I have been teaching literature and composition at the University College of the Cariboo / Thompson Rivers University since 1993.

My area of specialization is 19th, 20th and 21st Century Canadian poetry and fiction.

I am married to Dr. Cynthia M. Friedman, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Thompson Rivers University.
